Behold, ye, the unicorn!
Invisible horse with single horn.
Gaze upon the leprechaun!
Rich, nonexistent shortman.
Elves and goblins, look at them!
Ah, but they remain unseen?
Olympian gods and goddesses
Live not, but in the mind.
The boogeyman is hiding under
Beds and in dark closets.
He won’t grow up, not Peter Pan
In Neverland, make believe.
And look at all the aliens!
Deceptions coming to our planet.
But really, now, please focus on
This blessed thing called love…
Please note this was written years ago, before I met my wife. As it stands, I in no way condone the words in this poem. But someone out there may find it amusing.
